Snowy Monaro Region

Regional women are navigating complex health information while seeking support through the physical, emotional and social changes that occur throughout life. Despite living in communities rich with skilled health professionals and wellbeing experts, many struggle to know who or what to trust. Local expertise often remains underutilised while women rely on fragmented online information or providers outside their community. Vitality was created to bridge that gap. Beginning in the Snowy Monaro region, Vitality connects women with trusted local experts through community events, workshops, expert conversations, podcasts and education. Vitality provides the platform and community that makes existing expertise more visible, connected and accessible, improving health literacy while helping women confidently navigate their wellbeing. The initiative has attracted in-principle support from SNSW LHD and is working in partnership with Snowy Monaro Business Chamber. Vitality strengthens the regional economy by investing in local venues, hospitality, health professionals and small businesses. Participating experts gain exposure, build referral relationships and collaborate across sectors, creating stronger local ecosystems rather than isolated services. By helping women discover and trust local expertise, Vitality maximises the value of existing investment by businesses, health providers and government. Our vision is to establish a network of locally led Vitality communities across regional Australia. Vitality will provide the framework, partnerships, resources and national platform, while each community identifies and promotes its own trusted network of experts, businesses and community champions. Where specialist services do not exist locally, Vitality will facilitate access to trusted external experts through partnerships and referral pathways, ensuring women are not disadvantaged by geography. As the model grows, Vitality will attract sponsorship, grants and strategic partnerships that bring new investment into regional communities while building an evidence base to identify local needs, inform future investment and improve women’s health outcomes. Vitality strengthens regional ecosystems where healthier women, trusted expertise, community collaboration and sustainable investment work together to create stronger, connected regional communities.

Vitality is already demonstrating how investing in women's health can strengthen regional communities & local economies. Across its first four events, Vitality has partnered with 12 regional businesses spanning healthcare, allied health, wellbeing, hospitality, creative services. Every event intentionally invests in local businesses through venue hire, catering & facilitation, while creating opportunities through speaking engagements, social media & referral pathways. 2 regional businesses have officially launched through Vitality events, using the platform to build credibility & connect directly with their first clients. 15 additional regional businesses & practitioners have expressed interest in participating, demonstrating both the depth of regional expertise & demand for a collaborative model. Vitality is improving women's health literacy by helping women better understand their bodies, navigate evidence-based information & identify trusted sources of support. In a landscape saturated with conflicting advice & online marketing, women are gaining the confidence to make informed decisions & connect with credible local professionals. As confidence in local expertise grows, more women are choosing to access services within their own communities. This strengthens referral pathways, encourages collaboration between providers & generates sustained demand for regional businesses, creating benefits that extend well beyond individual events. Vitality also has the potential to maximise existing public investment. Through partnerships such as Southern NSW LHD, the initiative will improve awareness & utilisation of existing services, strengthening referral pathways rather than duplicating them. Looking ahead, Vitality will expand into neighbouring regional communities through a locally led model that identifies & promotes each community's own trusted network of experts & businesses. Sponsorship, grants & strategic partnerships will attract new investment, while community insights will identify service gaps & inform future investment in regional women's health. Vitality is demonstrating that improving women's health & strengthening regional economies are mutually reinforcing. By connecting women with trusted expertise, supporting local businesses & building stronger community partnerships, it is creating a scalable model for healthier communities & more resilient regional Australia
